Permits for Businesses

The Niagara County Health Department's Division of Environmental Health issues permits for businesses that involve the following types of operations:

• Food service including restaurants, catering, vending, temporary events, mobile, institutional, etc.
• Temporary residences including hotels, motels, inns, campgrounds, rooming houses, etc.
• Large public or private gatherings
• Mobile home parks
• Migrant labor camps
• Children's camps
• Swimming pools and bathing beaches
• Tattoo / body piercing artists and shops

Approvals for Land Development

The Niagara County Health Department's Division of Environmental Health issues approvals for the following actions and operations related to land development: 

• Real property subdivisions
• Property transfers involving septic system and well operation
• Private water supply systems - residential and commercial
• Private sewerage systems - residential and commercial less than 10,000 gallons per day
• Public water supply systems
• Public sewerage systems
